The Beginning
It all began with a spark. During a peaceful yoga class, Doreen realized how much she longed for her childhood love of animals. She and her partner, Jeff, listened to that call—trading city noise for birdsong, and pavement for pastures on their 14-acre Wisconsin farm.
Just months later, Summer Strolling with Goats was born, inviting guests to explore the countryside alongside their playful herd. As the year unfolds, the adventures continue with Fall Frolicking with Goats and Winter Walking with Goats, proving every season holds its own kind of magic here.
Sunrise Farm is a storybook of animals! Five adorable Nigerian Dwarf Goats are joined by 14 chickens, two waddling ducks, two roly-poly KuneKune pigs (dubbed Jimmy Dean and Jellybean), one woolly, laid-back sheep named Bubba, and the most lovable farm dog you’ll ever meet, Finley.
And it's more than just an animal paradise; driven by her love for nature, Doreen has created a vibrant, four-acre Pollinator Habitat that buzzes with bees and butterflies in warmer months, then transforms into a snowy wonderland perfect for making snow angels in winter. The farm isn’t just a destination—it’s a little slice of magic!

Where is it located?
Nestled in the picturesque landscapes of New Richmond, Wisconsin, our farm is conveniently located just 45 minutes from the Twin Cities, 20 minutes from Hudson, WI, and 25 minutes from Stillwater, MN. Making it easily accessible as a day experience for people enjoying a vacation weekend, a birthday celebration, a team building work event, a couple's date, a family outing, or a friend's get together.
What is a goat walk?
We walk with five adorable Nigerian Dwarf goats and one Katahdin sheep, who are unharnessed and unleashed, through lush woods and open meadows.
Can we take photos?
